Why was a shopper's virtual Visa charge declined?
This card functions like a debit card, so it will only authorize purchases for the total amount available on the card. Oftentimes, shoppers view this card like a gift card and will try to apply it to a purchase that is over the amount available on the card, resulting in a decline.
CS Macro: Your card is like any other Visa debit card and may be refused due to several reasons. Check that your card still has a sufficient balance. Also double check that you added the correct card number, name, and address. Additionally, if the card has a small amount available, a workaround you can offer shoppers is to add the card to their Apple wallet, and from there, transfer it to their bank or a Paypal account.
CS Macro: If you'd like to add this virtual Visa to your Apple wallet, you can complete the following steps:
- Go to your Wallet
- Click the "+" in the top right corner of the screen
- Enter the virtual Visa card details
- You will be prompted to verify the card. Please choose the "Email" option. This will reroute the email to your personal email. The email will come from (ENTERBRANDNAME)@getfondue.com and the subject line will be "Your CashBack Visa Verification Code".
- The email will contain a code, which you can enter in your wallet to verify and add the card.
