Setting your CashBack Checkout Extension
What’s the CashBack Checkout Extension?
Fondue’s checkout extension is a comprehensive introduction to CashBack. It explains what CashBack is, how shoppers can redeem and use, the amount of CashBack a shopper will receive based on the value of the content in their cart, and lists the CashBack eligibility of products within their cart. The checkout extension affirms the promotion value the shopper will receive upon completing their purchase with you. (Curious about what a shopper sees while they’re shopping? Take a look here!)
Please note–this is only available for Shopify Plus customers, as you need to edit checkout to implement this extension.
Why is it important?
Improves CVR
After several iterations of thorough testing, we concluded the checkout extension increases conversion compared to other solutions.
Provides information and indication of CashBack
The checkout extension reassures the shopper of redeeming their promotion post-purchase and instills confidence in the promotion you’re offering. At checkout, it confirms the CashBack value they’ll receive as well as the products in their cart that qualify for CashBack.
Setting your CashBack Checkout Extension
- Open your Shopify checkout editor
- Click Fondue CashBack > Save
Note–you may not see the extension in your checkout preview, as it will only show when a CashBack-eligible order is in your cart. As long as you see Fondue Checkout Top in your Header, it will show once published.
Can the checkout extension be edited?
Currently, the extension cannot be edited. However, we’re working on making the checkout extension customizable. Stay tuned!
